PLEASURE HOUSE POINT
Pleasure House Point offers a wide-open, natural setting with sandy paths, tall beach grasses, and pockets of pine trees and greenery - giving plenty of variety in a single session. You’ll also catch glimpses of the Chesapeake Bay, though it feels more like a coastal nature preserve than a traditional beach.
Why I love it: soft, consistent light • clean backgrounds • coastal vibes paired with greenery

THE NORTH END
The North End offers private, residential beach access, which means it’s typically much quieter than the Virginia Beach Oceanfront - especially during peak season. This stretch of shoreline features soft sand, tall dune grasses, and a charming wooden boardwalk leading out to the beach, creating a clean, classic coastal backdrop for sessions.
Why I love it: beautiful natural dunes • minimal crowds (even in summer) • timeless, coastal scenery for a classic beach look

BACK BAY
Back Bay is a peaceful stretch of coastline near Sandbridge that is never crowded, it's truly a hidden gem. With wide open beaches, tall dunes, coastal grasses, and soft, light-colored sand, it offers a clean, natural setting for sessions and plenty of space to move and explore.
Why I love it: lighter-toned sand • stunning natural dunes • minimal crowds • an elevated, natural beach experience

LITTLE ISLAND PARK
Located in Sandbridge, Little Island offers a classic beach setting with a wide shoreline, soft sand, dunes, and pockets of coastal greenery. It’s also home to a beautiful wooden fishing pier, which adds a unique architectural element to sessions and gives plenty of variety in a single location - from dune-backed portraits to waterfront images.

* Please note: because it’s a popular spot for Sandbridge visitors, this beach can be busier at certain times of year *
Why I love it: iconic wooden pier • great variety of backdrops • beautiful light near sunset

BELLS MILL PARK
Located in Chesapeake, Bells Mill offers a beautiful change of pace from beach sessions with open fields, tree-lined edges, and especially stunning foliage in the fall. It’s a bit off the beaten path for Virginia Beach families, but well worth the short drive for those drawn to warm tones, greenery, and something different from a beach backdrop.
Why I love it: golden-hour light filtering through the trees • open space for movement • beautiful natural variety
