Originally from Kalamazoo Michigan (yes! There really is a Kalamazoo) I’m thankful for my roots and all that the Midwest taught me, but I’ve always dreamt of living in the south, more specifically in the Carolinas. Perhaps it was all the Dawson’s Creek episodes I used to watch growing up or my love for Nicholas Sparks books?! I'm a homebody at heart who loves being home lounging in my comfy clothes. I have a blanket obsession that drives my husband bananas. My love language is sweets and coffee. I believe less is more, organization and cleaning bring me so much joy and peace, I definitely identify as being a clean freak but you know what, there are worse things in life so I’ll take it! I take pride in doing things myself and ‘figuring it out’, you can accomplish so much with a Google search bar and a little determination. I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve and have a hard time hiding my emotions because my face usually says it all. You can generally tell when I’m stressed because I have a bad habit of stroking my eyebrows - make fun all you want but it soothes me and that’s what matters.
I absolutely love capturing belly laughs, quirky smiles and the perfectly imperfect. Family sessions with zero agenda other than capturing joyful and candid moments will always be my favorite! I love creating a fun, relaxed environment for my clients - you can absolutely expect me to make Britney Spears references or bust an awful dance move at some point during your session to get you out of your comfort zone!
I love clean, bright images, and I’m a sucker for the warm glow of a sunset. I document genuine moments through natural posing and I always strive to make my sessions as fun and lighthearted as possible. I specialize in family photography, but I also love lifestyle sessions, such as fresh 48's, in-home newborn sessions, gender reveals, and military homecomings! I’m so lucky to love what I do and I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the entire world to live out my passion!
